Bonding bricks
Brickwork is conventionally arranged in level courses of standard bricks. Courses are laid so that the cross joints between the bricks in the courses do not line
through with those in the course above and below - this is known as bonding. The arrangement of bricks is not haphazard but is regulated to avoid cutting
and to create a good appearance by the consistency of the pattern of the bricks and the mortar joints. Bonding bricks are part-size or oversize units
with standard bricks to facilitate bonding.
Bonding bricks are available in the following standard types and sizes. Please note that we can supply any non-standard brick specials, just contact us to discuss.
